Job Description

The Vice President of Customer Acquisition is a critical growth leader responsible for architecting and scaling a high-performance acquisition engine across a distributed network of 900+ hospitals. This role blends deep performance marketing expertise, advanced analytics, AI-driven optimization, and conversion strategy to drive measurable growth in both new patient acquisition and active patient engagement.

This leader owns the full acquisition funnel—from media investment through conversion—ensuring every dollar deployed is optimized against marginal return curves and enterprise growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Marketing & Growth Strategy

  • Own enterprise-wide acquisition strategy across paid and owned channels, including search, social, programmatic, and emerging AI-driven platforms
  • Develop and execute scalable, data-driven plans to achieve new patient and active patient growth targets at the hospital level
  • Manage and optimize a multi-million dollar media budget with a rigorous focus on marginal ROAS and incrementality

 

Advanced Analytics & Optimization

  • Build and operationalize marginal ROAS curves to inform investment decisions, budget allocation, and diminishing return thresholds
  • Establish a robust test-and-learn agenda across channels, creative, audiences, and bidding strategies
  • Partner with data science and BI teams to develop predictive models for demand generation, LTV, and cohort performance

 

AI-Driven Marketing Innovation

  • Leverage AI and machine learning to inform audience segmentation, creative optimization, bidding strategies, and media mix modeling
  • Identify and deploy next-generation tools to automate campaign management, personalization, and performance forecasting
  • Translate AI-driven insights into actionable growth strategies across markets

 

Digital Experience & Conversion Optimization

  • Own website and digital funnel performance, driving continuous improvements in conversion rates and revenue per visit
  • Lead experimentation across landing pages, UX/UI, and personalization strategies to maximize patient conversion
  • Align digital experience with local hospital needs while maintaining enterprise-level scalability

 

Local Market Strategy & Execution

  • Translate enterprise strategy into localized acquisition plans tailored to individual hospital performance, demand signals, and competitive dynamics
  • Build frameworks for market-level budget allocation, prioritization, and performance tracking

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Operations, Field Leadership, Product, and IT to align acquisition efforts with capacity, service offerings, and patient experience
  • Collaborate with Brand and Communications to ensure performance marketing aligns with brand positioning and messaging strategies

 

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a high-performing team across performance marketing, analytics, and digital optimization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement
  • Elevate internal capabilities in advanced marketing analytics, AI adoption, and growth strategy

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth, or customer acquisition roles, ideally in multi-location or healthcare environments
  • Proven track record managing large-scale paid media budgets with strong ROI discipline
  • Deep expertise in marketing analytics, attribution models, incrementality testing, and marginal ROAS optimization
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML tools to drive marketing performance and decision-making
  • Strong background in digital product optimization, CRO, and website performance
  • Demonstrated ability to scale acquisition strategies across complex, distributed business models
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic action
