Compensation: $24-$27/hour Hospital Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am - 12pm and closed on Sundays. Apply today for immediate consideration! The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) supports the operation of an animal hospital by providing medical care to patients in accordance with veterinary practice regulations. The RVT guides and trains medical support staff, ensures smooth workflow during shifts, and communicates effectively with team members and clients. ¯
Responsibilities and Benefits
- Deliver patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian (DVM). - Maintain clear and accurate medical, client, and case records using appropriate terminology and grammar. - Review medical records, treatment estimates, and discharge instructions with clients, and respond to basic animal care inquiries, escalating medical questions to veterinarians as needed. - Guide and support medical support staff to ensure efficient shift operations and workflow. - Mentor team members to encourage career growth and personal development. - Provide input for 360-degree performance evaluations of employees. - Assist with client services including appointment scheduling, payments, check-in, and courteous phone communication. - Provide feedback and suggest improvements to training programs; participate in training sessions, job shadows, and working interviews. - Perform assigned cleaning, clinic upkeep, and equipment maintenance tasks. - Delegate cleaning or other duties during slow periods when a supervisor is unavailable. - Identify and address areas needing additional attention within the clinic environment. - Answer client inquiries confidently about routine procedures and animal care. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to support patient care and hospital operations. - Perform other related duties as assigned within the nature and level of work.
