You will practice comprehensive small animal medicine utilizing a full range of services that extend from essential Wellness and Prevention to advanced care. Our capabilities include extensive Testing and Diagnostics, comprehensive Surgical Procedures, and critical Urgent Care services supported by our ability to offer Same Day Appointments. We believe in being a full-service partner for our clients in the Frederick community, which means you have the resources necessary to manage complex cases right here in the hospital. Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Hospital Hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PMPart-Time ~ 30 hours/week
Compensation: $20 - $25/hour (based on experience)

We’re seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate and experienced team. You’ll work primarily in appointments and play a critical role in client education and patient care. If you're a people-person with a heart for animals and a thirst for learning, we’d love to meet you.
Must-Have Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience in an animal hospital
Venipuncture experience is required
Comfortable using Ezvet software
Familiarity with Idexx lab equipment
Strong communication and client education skills
Knowledge of medical terminology, vaccine protocols, and preventives
Comfortable asking questions and seeking feedback
Ability to work efficiently and manage tasks independently

Responsibilities and Benefits
Position Skills: - Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms - Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals - Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members - Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring - Proficient in dental prophylaxis Position Requirements: - Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. - Associates degree in Veterinary Technology Ready to help us WAG?
