As a specialty referral practice, you will primarily focus on critical ophthalmic examinations and specialized surgical procedures using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. The team manages complex cases, including Equine ophthalmology and crucial OFA Eye Certification Exams (CAER). Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join our referral-only specialty practice in the Inland Northwest. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced diagnostic and surgical care for a wide range of ocular conditions across multiple species, with a primary focus on dogs, cats, and horses. You will work closely with referring general practitioners to ensure the best long-term visual health for our patients


Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology or residency trained
  • Licensure must be in good standing to practice in the state of Washington
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with primary care veterinarians, associated hospital departments, SVP teammates and others contacted in the course of work
  • Maintain composure, direction and professional demeanor at all times
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
  • Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
